People Pleasing

People pleasing often involves putting the needs of other people before our own.

People may do this to avoid conflict, to avoid feeling guilty and to gain the approval and care of other people.

However, the costs of chronic people pleasing can include resentment and exhaustion.

You may find yourself being inauthentic and being confused about who you really are and want you want. This is because you’re so focused on moulding yourself to the needs of people around you.

You may be so tired from constantly analysing and being hypervigilant to the needs of others.
